william parkway. it's shut down basically between lake jackson drive and dumfries road. so go ahead and choose your alternate route before you head out the door and plan early. i would suggest making using bristow road as your alternate route if you're trying to get northbound this morning toward the manassas area. 66 is not affected by this but i do believe it's a pretty serious accident so it could be there for a while longer. let's take a live look on the northbound side of i-395. looking good here at the 14th street bridge. there had been an accident northbound in the third street tunnel approaching route 50 so that may slow things down a bit more than normal. no issues to report here on 270. just slowing down a bit as you travel toward hyattstown and germantown. a live look at the beltway north of town at university boulevard which is looking good on the beltway. but as traffic continues to pick up this morning, many of you in virginia will decide to take a 495 express lanes. last hour we told you why many drivers, especially during the rush hour, making the b line for the lanes. b

those areas and mount jackson and the shenandoah valley and watch it in frederick, could have a few slick spots but most of the roads we're hearing are wet. with more on that here comes monika samtani and timesaver traffic. >>> you want to be careful especially as you saw coming south on 270 out of frederick and far west as well. let's take a look closer in. no problems to report as you travel in from cheverly on the bw parkway and route 50. heading into the northeast corridor you should be okay right now. a little bit of slow traffic here on 295 leaving the 11th street bridge but no big deals all the lanes are open. the beltway looks good here in prince george's county as well. a live look outside, show you what it looks like here, this is new york avenue at bladensburg road and as i said coming in through cheverly this is what you have to deal with. the roads are wet. back over to the maps this time we'll head over to the north side of town. again as howard said coming out of frederick you might want to be a little bit careful with the snow coming down and wet road conditions. onc
